War on drugs: Mexican troops set fire to largest pot grow ever; At least 59 inmates escape Mexican prison

The largest ever (in Mexican authoritarian records) marijuana plantation recently discovered in Mexico has been set ablaze by troops.
The crop was estimated at around 120 tons and was worth about $160 million.
“This is largest field ever found in the history of the country,” said Mexican Army General Alfonso Duarte as quoted by Associated Press.
The incident happened on Friday in the city of Nuevo Laredo in Tamaulipas state, which borders Texas and is currently one of the most troublesome Mexican states in terms of drugs and prison violence.
According to the state government some 35 of the escapees faced federal criminal prosecutions.
When will we ever learn?
If we ended the prohibition on marijuana a lot of the crime and violence associated with the plant would instantly vanish. The governments are creating the problems with their rules and laws. The vast majority of the people who are consuming marijuana are extremely peaceful people, and have no intention on ever using violence.
The fact is that there is a huge demand for this plant, and no matter how many fields get burned down, or how many drug dealers get shot, that demand will never go away.
The logical answer is to end prohibition now.
